 Dear Parents,

Today in class we reviewed for the monthly test. Homework is the monthly test review worksheet.

It has come to my attention that there has been some confusion about when the listening exam will be held. It will be held on 12/28.

In addition, there are some words from Week  18 that I am sending to you. Please have your children review them tonight. I will do so with them before the test tomorrow.

1.   barber (n.): a man whose job is cutting men’s hair.

2.   pajamas (n.): clothing that people wear for sleeping.

3. campfire (n.): a fire that is built outdoors at a camp or picnic area

4. chilly (adj.): cold that is uncomfortable.

5. crawl (v.): to move along slowly with one’s body very close to the ground.

6. bedroll (n.): bedding rolled into a portable bundle, as for camping outdoors.

7. saddle (n.): a leather-covered seat that is put on the back of a horse.

8. stampede (n./v.): to run away in a large group from something especially because of fear.

9. sudden (adv.): happening without warning; not expected.

10. thunder (n.): the very loud sound that comes from the sky during a storm.
